Joe Maloney

Joe Maloney has served as the President of the Idaho State AFL-CIO since 2018. He began his career with IBEW 449 in 2009 after earning his Journeyman’s license through the College of Southern Idaho. Joe’s grandfather was a member of UA and encouraged him to join a Union. He was an active participant in his Local from day one. From 2012-2017 he worked as an organizer for IBEW 449 and served on the Board of the Idaho State AFL-CIO, representing District 4.  

Joe has been married to his lovely bride, Callie, for 23 years. They have twin boys, Kynan and Kayle, age 18. Joe serves on the Filer School Board.
